Erasmus+ Studies

Description: Erasmus+ is the EU's programme supporting education, training, youth and sport in Europe and beyond. The most popular Erasmus+ programme is Erasmus+ Studies. By studying abroad with Erasmus+, you can improve your communication, language and inter-cultural skills and gain soft skills highly valued by future employers.
 
Applicants: Students at a Higher Education Institution.
 
Destinations: All 28 European Union member states, Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Turkey, and Erasmus+ Programme Partner Countries.
 
Length: 3 months (or 1 academic term or trimester) to 12 months per cycle of studies.
 
Funding: Erasmus+ grant as a contribution to your travel and subsistence costs. €300 to €500 per month depending on the country.
 
 

Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees

Description: With Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD), you can receive a full degree scholarship for a Master-level international study programme. As part of an EMJMD, you will study in at least two of the Programme countries involved in the international consortium.
 
Applicants: Students at Master's level can apply. Academics may also apply to take part as guest lecturers or academics.
 
Destinations: All 28 European Union member states, Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Turkey, and Erasmus+ Programme Partner Countries.
 
Length: 12 months to 24 months.
 
Funding: EMJMD scholarship to cover travel expenses, participation costs, fees and living costs. Up to €4,500/€9,000 per year depending on the country.
 

Bilateral Agreements

Description: Bilateral Agreement is an inter-institutional agreement between two higher education institutions to develop mutual activities and student exchange among them. It offers an excellent opportunity for students to spend up to two semesters in a foreign university with free tuition guaranteed.
 
Applicants: Students and staff at a Higher Education Institution.
 
Destinations: All around the world. It depends on the university and its relations with particular universities.
 
Length: Up to 4 semesters for Bachelor’s students and up to 2 semesters for Master's students.
 
Funding: Some agreements foresee financial support for exchange students, but it depends on the agreement.
