Erasmus Student Network: a whole world on its own!
ESN is one of the largest youth associations in Europe, with a mission to enrich society through international students and following the maxim “Students helping Students”. We are present in more than 1000 Higher Education Institutions, and we support more than 350 000 students, all on a voluntary basis (we are more than 18 000 volunteers all over Europe)!
At Erasmus Student Network, our mission is to represent international students and provide opportunities for intercultural environment and personal development. ESN provides its members with an insight into professional life and prepares them to deal with a wide variety of situations.

Our departments at ESN Lisboa
When you join us, you'll be assigned to a certain department and have a set of responsibilities related to that area. That doesn't mean you will only do events of a certain type or not do events at all because you choose a back office department.
It simply means you'll have the chance to help us with an area you have more knowledge of (or are interested in) while organizing all types of events and getting to know our incredible international community.

Tasks: Creation of content and campaigns for social networks; capturing and editing audiovisual content; creation of association merchandising; creation of promotional material for the association and partners; creation of content for the website.

- Background in Design, Communication or Marketing;
- Experience with Adobe tools: Illustrator, Photoshop & Lightroom (added value);
- Experience and taste for photography and video recording (added value);
- Experience in web design and SEO (added value).
Tasks: Planning, organization and promotion of events and initiatives in the areas of sport, such as hiking, surfing and sports tournaments, and trips to various parts of Portugal, such as Porto, Coimbra and Sintra; Ensuring that all events and activities take place without incidents and knowing how to act if they do happen; Motivating international students to lead a more active and healthy lifestyle, through tips and suggestions, as well as introducing them to Portuguese sporting culture; Participation in the internal events and initiatives of the Department and the rest of the Association.

Tasks: Organization and dynamization of Cultural Events, whose purpose is to make the International Students more acquainted with the Portuguese culture, as well as make them feel integrated within the community and between them - some examples are: Tours and Chill Outs; Participation in the events promoted by the Department, as well as other departments; Ensuring that the events are well organized and dynamized; Ensure that the International Students, in every event, can find a save space;

Tasks: Planning of nightlife events and entertainment with the aim of facilitating the adaptation of international students to Lisbon and integrating them into the ESN Lisboa community - some examples of events are: Pubcrawls, Parties and Karaoke Nights; The main tasks are: Participation in events promoted by the Department, as well as by other departments; Ensure the smooth running of events; Promoting innovative and dynamic activities; Interacting with International Students and ensuring the smooth running and organisation of all activities.

Tasks: Creation and optimisation of partnerships relevant for the association and for the experience of the International Students in Lisbon; Search for sponsors for events and projects; Development of protocols with partner entities; Supporto to the remaining departments regarding current partners

Tasks: Deliberation of projects to work on; Organisation and planning of events to be held; Attendance at the various events organised by the department; Imagination in planning ideas for events.

Tasks: Promoting the proper functioning, well-being, integration and motivation of the team of volunteers. Organising and dynamising internal events and team building activities, such as Team Days, Team Building Weekend, Awards Dinner, History Day, Anniversary Gala, Peddy Paper; helping with the recruitment and selection process of new members; ensuring the creation and sending of the monthly internal newsletter; managing the birthday calendar and idealising, creating and delivering anniversary gifts for the members; ensuring the tracking of the member information; ensuring the smooth running of the section and the productivity of volunteers; ensure personal and professional development activities for members.

Tasks: Presentation of Welcome Sessions for incoming students at the Welcome Days organised by the Lisbon Faculties; Promotion of mobility programmes by facilitating Outgoing Sessions for pre-mobility higher education students and secondary school students through the ‘Erasmus in Schools’ sessions; Establishment, monitoring and promotion of relations with the International Relations Offices of Lisbon's Higher Education Institutions, Student Associations, Parish Councils, Municipal Councils, among other relevant bodies; Development of Linkedin and Participation in the ESN Lisbon Podcast

Every year, we have two main recruitment periods: in January and August. When the recruitment period opens we'll anounce everything in our socials (especially Instagram and Linkedin) and obviously here as well. Stay tuned!
